Evolutec now expects to publish lead compound Phase 2 results in early 2007
LONDON (AFX) - Biopharmaceutical company Evolutec Group PLC said it now expects to publish phase 2 trial results of its lead compound to treat post cataract-surgery inflammation in early 2007 as initial recruitment of 150 patients is completed.
In September, the company said the recruitment of the required 150 patients for phase 2 trial of rEV131 had been slow and expected the trial results were likely to be delayed until first half of 2007.
The company said it sees the value of the post cataract-surgery inflammation market at around 500 Million US$.
